CARIBBEAN FARMS Ltd.            Cayman’s commercial dairy:           Sir. Antony Fisher’s failed initiative

This paper is intended to set the Caribbean Farms dairy initiative in its  Grand Cayman context.  It may seem this dairy was launched without sufficient thought being given to the real everyday challenges. However, the dairy may well have been an enduring success had it started from small beginnings. It’s owner, Antony Fisher (later Sir Antony Fisher), was a remarkable man of vision and initiative even if both Mariculture Ltd. (Cayman Turtle Farm now Cayman Turtle Centre) and Caribbean Farms turned out to be loss-making businesses.
