ABOUT GIFTED EDUCATION
Over the last few decades, education has moved to a more inclusive model, which means that classrooms are no longer made up of one type of learner, but are now filled with a range of abilities, with each bringing its own challenges and perspectives. The gifted student is one such learner that has been identified. The term gifted is not new, neither is it a fad. Some people are able to process information, push the boundaries of creativity and acquire skills a lot faster than others in their age group. How then do we help these individuals? How we can assist them as they try to develop their potential? Every year we understand more and more about the brain, the way it functions with a goal to provide better services to this population of learners. These unique students often require specialized services from a trained professional with an understanding of their needs; a support system not just for them but for the families, teachers and persons who play a pivotal role in their lives. CPAT understands this and provides such services.
